A playboy and con-man is asked to commit a murder to avoid jail-time for his crimes. In a bizarre twist of events, he can choose both paths and face the consequences before taking a final decision.
Janardan Arora aka Johnny (Kunal Khemu) is a free-spirited, young and charming man who lives life to the fullest. He wears his heart on his sleeve and is a Casanova. Working in an established company, Johnny wants to make more money than he earns right now. He decides to get involved in illegal activities and earn more money. Successful in doing so at a number of occasions, there comes one instance when his boss, Ramona Bakshi (Manasi Scott) gets to know about Johnny’s activities and decides to teach him a lesson. She seduces him to take advantage but eventually reveals that she is aware about everything. Johnny is shocked and finds himself caught in a tiff. He asks Ramona for forgiveness, but in a counter offer, Ramona tells Johnny that if he wants secure himself, he has to kill Tanya (Zoa Morani). Johnny refuses, but also realizes that he doesn’t have any other option. Suddenly, he experiences an encounter with a genie (Vikram Bhatt). Unable to believe his eyes, he does not believe that it’s a real genie. The genie puts Johnny in a lonely desert and gets him to believe that it’s reality. He tells Johnny, that he has a chance to live two lives, a life where he can kill Tanya and see what happens, and another life where he does not kill Tanya and see what happens. However it comes with a cautionary warning - if Johnny dies in any life, then he is dead from both lives. Johnny starts living two lives, and in the life where he doesn’t kill Tanya, they end up falling in love. And in the other life, where Johnny has killed Tanya, he realizes that even if he kills his boss, Ramona, the penalty would be the same. Which life does Johnny ultimately choose? Does Ramona face any consequences? Why was Tanya’s murder important to Ramona? Does Tanya stay alive irrespective of Johnny’s choice?
