Based on a true story in the 90s in Ghaziabad, Thakur Pritam Singh, a corrupt police officer, is sent to manage the rivalry of two gangs led by Satbir Singh and Fauji.

Fauji (Arshad Warsi) is a gangster that is willing to do anything to make a quick buck. Fauji asks the corrupt chairman of the village, Brahampal Singh Choudhary (Paresh Rawal), to pay money for his sister’s wedding, but Jagmal Singh refuses. At the same time, Brahampal befriends Satbir (Vivek Oberoi), a teacher who is dating his daughter Sanika (Charmy Kaur). As Satbir is Fauji's arch-enemy, Fauji joins hands with Rashid (Ravi Kishan), a politican who is Brahampal’s enemy. This betrayal leads to some gang wars and riots. Thakur Pritam Sing (Sanjay Dutt) is sent to bring an end to the gang-war, but things only turn for the worse. A tape is found, and people’s true associations are known which further complicates the relationships. This complication leads to some action-packed scenes with bloodshed and violence.
