Based on the tragic terror strike that took place in Mumbai, The Attacks of 26/11 tries to provide a unique insight into the emotions of the people that were directly impacted by the tragedy.

The film opens with Rakesh Maria (Nana Patekar), the Joint Chief Police Commissioner recalling the events of that incident in front of a committee, specifically the 60 hours of horror as young, brain-washed men wrecked havoc on the city of Mumbai. The story is revealed in the form of flashbacks. It shows a city under siege by a handful of terrorists, including Ajmal Kasab (Sanjeev Jaiswal), the infamous terrorist that was captured. The film captures the scenes of the attacks at the Leopold Café, the reception area of the Taj Mahal Hotel in Colaba, the inside of the CST station and the hospital amongst other locations. It also further exposes the ineffective administration of the incident, specifically the weak Mumbai Police force that struggled to handle the situation and had to resort to help from the NSG Commandos.
