Boss, an adaptation of the hit Malayali fim ‘Pokkiri Raja’ is a story of a man that fights for people’s rights. The strangest thing happens one day when his father, who abandoned him, asks for his help.
Satyakant Shastri (Mithun Chakraborty) is a schoolteacher who has two children, Surya (Akshay Kumar) and Shiv (Shiv Pandit). Surya is a wild kid who keeps fighting with other children. So, his father disowns him. Satyakant’s other son Shiv grows up and falls in love with Ankita (Aditi Rao Hydari), who is the sister of Ayushman Thakur (Ronit Roy), a police officer. Ayushman wants to get his sister married to Vishal (Aakash Dabhade), the son of Home Minister Pradhan (Govind Namdeo). In order to do that, he has Shiv arrested and convicted for crimes that Shiv hasn’t committed. Satyakant turns to Surya to save his son and destroy Ayushman. The story also reveals that after Surya was kicked out, he saved the life a businessman named Big Boss (Danny Denzongpa). Surya was now called ‘Boss’ as a result of that and was responsible for a transport business and would often fight for justice. The rest of the story explores how Surya saves the day despite the differences with the father.
