The year is 1825. Veer Pratap Singh (Salman Khan) is the son of a legendary warrior, Prithvi Singh (Mithun Chakraborty). Prithvi is unable to fight in battles due to his ill health. So commands his son to attack the British rulers for freedom. When Veer requests the King of Madhavghar, Gyanendra Singh (Jackie Shroff) for military help, he refuses to comply as he has always had a grudge with Prithvi. Soon, Gyanendra takes advantage of the moment and teams up with the Governor of Rajasthan James Fraser (Tim James Lawrence) to uproot the Pindaris and make them vanish. Veer takes his battalion and goes into hiding after many brave warriors are slaughtered by the king and the governor. In order to reciprocate, Veer kidnaps Gyanendra's daughter Princess Yashodhara (Zarine Khan). Governor's wife Lady Angela Fraser (Lisa Lazarus) questions her husband's actions and supports native Pindaris in overthrowing Madhavghar and the British rule. The whole army of Pindaris, led by Veer, circle the King's fort and attack him. With valuable military information from Lady Fraser, Veer comes out victorious and the battle ends with the deaths of the king and the governor. Fatally wounded in the battle, Veer dies in his lover's arms.
