Plot

Donsai (Fardeen Khan) has always hated the idea of marriage because of the daily fights between his parents. So he decides to remain a bachelor. When his father suddenly dies of a heart attack, Donsai learns about a will from their family lawyer. The will has a clause which states that Donsai can inherit the large empire only if he marries a family friend's daughter Samarpreet (Ishita Sharma). With no alternative, he marries Samarpreet under false pretence. After realising that she was just a pawn in Donsai's plan, Samarpreet slides into depression and meets with a car accident. The driver and owner of the car, Shimmer (Sushmita Sen) takes her home. After listening to Samarpreet's story, Shimmer persuades her to convince Donsai that marriage can be good. Samarpreet gets a makeover and changes her name to Samara. She then stages a run-in with Donsai and starts to develop a relationship with him. Unknown to the fact that Samara is actually his wife, Donsai proposes to her. However, she rejects his proposal on Shimmer's word, attempting to make Donsai more desperate. Meanwhile, Shimmer's boyfriend Pawan Raj Gandhi (Shahrukh Khan) moves into town and tries to play the role of a mediator. But, will Samara finally marry Donsai, or will she teach him a lesson?
