The life of an Assistant Director goes haywire when the first script he has written gets plagiarized and his girlfriend leaves him.

Shekhar (Akshaye Khanna) is an assistant director who has an ambition of writing his own script and directing his own movie. His friend Raju (Arshad Warsi) is a struggling actor who is waiting impatiently for Shekhar to finish his script so that he can star in it. However, Shekhar rejects the idea of casting Raju as the lead in his movie to which Raju retaliates by stealing Shekhar’s script and releasing it under his own name. The movie turns out to be a huge blockbuster and Raju gets all the fame. Devastated by this and by his girlfriend Mansi (Amrita Rao) dumping him, Shekhar writes a new and better script and wants Raju to star in it. However Raju rejects the script and Shekhar decides to film the movie with Raju in it, without Raju’s knowledge. Shekhar and his low budget film crew follow Raju all around and film him in the style of guerrilla filmmaking all without Raju’s knowledge. The film becomes a huge hit but with Raju’s performance receiving huge amounts of criticism. Do the friends reconcile and what fate awaits these two guys?
