Gurukul is a college that takes pride in upholding high standards, strictly disallowing relationships on campus. Principal Narayan (Amitabh Bachchan), holds steadfast on these rules. He has especially got his eyes on three students who have been exhibiting their affections openly. No amount of persuasion can get Narayan to accept it. When a new music teacher named Raj (Shah Rukh Khan) is hired, he takes the three students under his wing and encourages their love. We soon find out that Raj is connected to Narayan through something tragic from both their pasts. Will Narayan’s hard nature eventually thaw?
