Vishal Dadlani is an Indian music composer, singer, lyricist who is mainly associated with Bollywood apart from working in Telugu, Tamil and Marathi films. Together with Shekhar Ravjiani, they form the music duo, Vishal-Shekhar and have given some chartbuster soundtracks. Vishal Dadlani, together with Shekhar Ravjiani as the duo, Vishal-Shekhar rose to prominence with their music for the film Jhankaar Beats (2003) for which they won the Filmfare R.D. Burman Award for New Music Talent and went on to compose music for films like Dus (2005), Bluffmaster (2005), Om Shanti Om (2007) for which they won several awards which include Best Composer Award with Shekhar at the Asian Film Awards and Annual Central European Bollywood Awards, Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008), Dostana (2008) and many more. Vishal has also been the lead vocalist of Mumbai-based electronic band Pentagram. He has been judging popular star hunt show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge and Indian Idol Junior. Apart from films, Vishal-Shekhar have composed songs for TV soaps that have been successful like Left Right Left, Navya and Piya Re Bhavri and IPL theme song of season 3. They have also provided chartbuster music in Tamil, Telugu and Marathi films. Vishal was also seen as an actor in Om Shanti Om (2007) and Tees Maar Khan (2010) in cameos and is an established singer where he has sung for songs composed by the duo and also for other composers. Some of his hit songs include Kurbaan Hua, Chaar Shanivaar, Dance Basanti, Pump It Up and Selfie Le Le Re among many more. Their latest projects include composing music for Bang Bang (2014) and Happy New Year (2014).
