Sharat Katariya is an Indian writer and director who shot to fame with Dum Laga Ke Haisha and has also co-scripted the critically acclaimed Titli. Sharat Katariya was born in Delhi and started his career as an assistant director to Rajat Kapoor on Raghu Romeo (2003). He then turned lyricist for Mixed DOubles (2007) and produced and directed the short film 10ml Love (2010). The film, based on Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream, starred Rajat Kapoor, Tisca Chopra and Purab Kohli, but failed to accelerate his career. He turned writer for films like Bheja Fry (2007, dialogues), Fruit and Nut (2009), Bheja Fry 2 (2011), Hum Tum Shabana (2011) and the latest Titli (2015). He is married to Anusha Bose.
