Rameshwar Shivaji Bhagat, or Ramesh Bhagat, born in 1974, is a renowned Indian Film Editor. He is known for editing films like Heyy Babyy, New York , Ek Tha Tiger,Gunday & Kick. Born and brought up in Mumbai, Bhagat was very much into films since childhood and after graduation, he decided to pursue a career in Bollywood. He began working as a trainee in 1996 under the acclaimed director Rajkumar Hirani, where he assisted him with editing and directing corporate films, commercials, music videos and film promotions for many years. He received nationwide critical recognition for his work in Munnabhai MBBS (2003), his first film as an associate editor. In 2004, he edited Dhoom, his first independent assignment, for Yashraj Films, for which he bagged the Filmfare, Screen and GIFA Awards for Best Editing. Since then he has been one of the most popular and sought after editors of the industry and has edited 27 films including popular films like Fight Club (2006), Dhoom 2 (2006), Heyy Babyy (2007), Tashan (2008), New York (2008), Housefull (2010), Anjaana Anjaani (2010), Love Breakups Zindagi (2011), Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Boss (2013), Gunday (2014), Kick (2014) and The Shaukeens (2014). His latest is the Salman Khan starrer Bajrangi Bhaijaan which is set to release on Eid 2015.
