Lisa Haydon is an Indian film actress, model and fashion designer who is best known for her role in the film, Queen. Born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, to a Malayali father and Australian mother, Lisa lived in Australia and America before moving back to India to pursue a career in modelling. While studying psychology, on a friend’s suggestion, Lisa started modelling in Australia and with initial success moved to India where she walked for the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week. She became the face of Lakme and featured in various TV commercials apart from appearing as the covergirl for coveted magazines like Verve, Elle, Femina and FHM. Lisa was named the best model and the Most Stylish persona in Cosmopolitan Fun and Fearless Awards 2009 and DNA Most Stylish 2009. She also worked as a fashion designer launching her line with Sher Singh, now acquired by Myntra and launched it internationally. Acting happened to her by chance, when at a coffee shop she was spotted by Anil Kapoor getting her role in the film, Aisha (2010) which was followed by Rascals (2011). However her breakthrough came with her performance in the film Queen (2014), which was not only a critical and commercial success but also won her several accolades including the Vogue Beauty Award for Best Breakthrough and Lion’s Gold Award for Favourite Actress in a Supporting Role-Female. Her role in The Shaukeens (2014) was also widely appreciated. Her latest projects include roles in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016), Baadshaho (2016) and Housefull 3 (2016) and judging the first cycle of India’s Next Top Model on MTV India. Lisa was in a relationship with Karan Bhojwani but they broke up in 2014. Apart from acting, Lisa is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer and has been a Shiamak Davar student for five years.
