The multi talented lady dons the hats of a producer, costume designer and interior designer and is known for producing blockbusters like Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om. Born to Savita and Colonel Ramesh Chandra Chhibber, Gauri did her schooling from Loreto Convent School and graduated from Lady Sriram College, New Delhi. She co-founded the film production and distribution company Red Chillies Entertainment with Shah Rukh Khan, where she works as the key producer. She turned into a producer with Farah Khan’s directorial debut, Main Hoon Na (2004). Some of her productions are Kaal (2005), Paheli (2005), Om Shanti Om (2007), Billu (2009), My Name Is Khan (2010), Always Kabhi Kabhi (2011), Ra.One (2011), Student of the Year (2012), Chennai Express (2013) and Happy New Year (2014). Her upcoming venture is Dilwale (2015). She has appeared on the cover of Vogue in January, 2008. She is also the brand ambassador for the home furnishings brand, D’Décor along with Shah Rukh Khan. She walked the ramp for Karan Johar at HDIL India Couture Week 2009. She was seen at the 66th Golden Globe Awards. She used to host the weekly Hindi music countdown show, Oye, for MTV India in the 1990s. She is also seen as the face of the fashion line, Aftershock. She ventured into interior designing professionally in 2010, with Sussanne. They worked on their first commercial project in Vadodara in the same year. She even has a furniture store in collaboration with Sussanne‘s ‘The Charcoal Project’. She has launched her interior store in Mumbai named Design Cell. She met Shah Rukh Khan in 1984 and married him in 1991. They have two sons and a daughter.
