Biography

Ashwin Mushran is an Indian actor and voice over artist. He has dubbed for over 300 TV shows and commercials, apart from also dubbing numerous English and Chinese language movies. As an actor, he has played notable roles in Lage Raho Munnabhai, Metro and Quick Gun Murugan. Career: Ashwin Mushran got his first big breakthrough as a cast member of the long running Indian TV, The Great Indian Comedy Show. Before this, he had been an actor in commercials. After making a mark as Hari Desai in Lage Raho Munnabhai, the very next year in 2007, Ashwin Mushran scored his second big role in Life In A Metro. From then on, he became a supporting role staple, which mostly was an intended comic relief. He was also part of Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion, before playing Dr. Django in Quick Gun Murugan in 2008. This was his most high profile role so far, winning positive reviews though the movie didn’t do too well at the box office. Ashwin Mushran is also one of the leading voice over artists for Hindi dubbing. He has been annointed the Hindi dub voice for American actor, Adam Sandler, and Chinese actor, Takeshi Kaneshiro. He also lent his voice to the Hindi dubbed version of Shrek 3, as the voice of Rumpelstiltskin. Ashwin Mushran has also travelled with the play, Pune Highway, to numerous countries. Personal Life: Ashwin Mushran hails from Mumbai. He completed his undergraduate studies from Hindu College, New Delhi. He is also an alumnus of the Drama Studio London. He currently resides in the Mumbai suburb of Santacruz.
