Born in a family of doctors residing in the Mumbai suburb of Matunga in May 1983. Anand Tiwari attended the University of Mumbai for his Bachelor in Management Studies before starting as a theatre actor in festive plays around the neighbourhood. He made his mainstream movie debut as a drug addled youth in Mumbai Meri Jaan (2008) followed by a supporting role in Slumdog Millionaire (2008) and Hollywood production, Fair Game (2010).

Biography

Born in a family of doctors residing in the Mumbai suburb of Matunga in May 1983. Anand Tiwari attended the University of Mumbai for his Bachelor in Management Studies before starting as a theatre actor in festive plays around the neighbourhood. He made his mainstream movie debut as a drug addled youth in Mumbai Meri Jaan (2008) followed by a supporting role in Slumdog Millionaire (2008) and Hollywood production, Fair Game (2010). Anand served as an assistant director and played a small role in Kunaal Roy Kapur’s The President Is Coming (2009). He went on to appear in notable roles in various films like Kites (2010), Udaan (2010), Aisha (2010), Èmotional Atyachar (2010), Go Goa Gone (2013), Dishkiyaoon (2014), Finding Fanny (2014), Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! (2015) and Charlie Kay Chakkar Mein (2015). His latest projects include a role in the film, Pati Patni and Joe (2015). He also had stints working in Sai Paranjpye Productions and Ramesh Sippy Entertainment. He learned nuances with regular appearances on stage, most prominently in plays like Sunil Shanbag’s Dreams Of Taleem and Rage Theatre’s One On One. Anand Tiwari also featured in commercials for the likes of GNIIT, Jet Airways, Tanishq and Dish TV. He was part of TATA’s popular ‘Jaagore’ campaign. He also co-founded the theater production company, FAT productions.
