Abhishek Pathak is an Indian film producer, director, writer and editor who is best known for producing super hit films like Pyaar Ka Punchnama and Drishyam among others. Born in Punjab, Abhishek started his career at the age of 17 working in production and direction for 3 years before pursuing a course in filmmaking from New York Film Academy. Abhishek started his career as an assistant director with short film, The Awakening (2006) and went on to work on films like No Smoking (2007), One Two Three (2008), I’m Afraid I Am Hitler (2008) for which he was also the art director and Atithi Tum Kab Jaoge? (2010) and worked as a cinematographer for short films like The Day I Met Her (2008), Veronika (2009) and feature film, Coffee Shop (2008). Abhishek made his debut as an executive producer with the film, Omkara (2006) and as a producer with the film, Coffee Shop (2008) followed by producing several films like Aakrosh (2010), Pyaar Ka Punchnama (2011), Bittoo Boss (2012), Akaash Vani (2013), Aatma (2013), Alone (2015) and Drishyam (2015). His short film, Boond (2009) which was written, edited and directed by himself, won the National Award for Best Short Fiction Film. His latest projects include producing the film, Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 (2015).
