Aanjjan Srivastav is an Indian film, television, and theatre actor.

Career -

Aanjjan Srivastav started his acting career in Mumbai by joining Indian People's Theatre Association (IPTA) and acting in several productions. After playing in Bengali and Marathi theatre, Aanjjan made his silver screen debut with Hindi film Gol Maal (1979) which is regarded as one of the classic comedies of Indian cinema. Subsequently, he acted in several Hindi films and television serials. In 1988, his role as a common man in television serial Wagle Ki Duniya brought him into the limelight. Often playing roles of a bureaucrat, or a stereotypical father figure, Aanjjan is considered a staple personality in the television industry of India, having acted in classic serials like Nukkad (1986) and Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi (1984).

He has been closely associated with character roles in films like Salaam Bombay! (1988), Agneepath (1990), Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa (1993), Damini (1993), Pukar (2000), Chak De! India (2007), and Tees Maar Khan (2010).

Throughout his acting career, he also served as a bank employee, which he retired from in 2001.

Personal Life -

Aanjjan was born in Kolkata to a respected banker. After completing his commerce and law education, he tried his hand at theatre and radio plays. After persuading his father about his passion for acting, in 1976, Aanjjan moved to Mumbai for better prospects. He is married to Madhu Srivastav.
